Alamo is small and residential, but the Alamo Plaza and Stone Valley Road shops keep a few cafes and the kind of upscale grocery and deli counters that run real espresso. 94507 sits right next door to our San Ramon base, so this is close to a home call for us, usually 12 to 15 minutes door to door.

An Astoria Tanya or Plus 4 You behind an Alamo deli counter does steady volume without the punishment of a downtown rush. That means scale and water quality drive most of what we see here, not abuse. We quote in writing before we open the machine.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Descaling and water filtration. Alamo runs hard tap water. Scale chokes the boiler and valves on a Tanya or Plus 4 You over time. We descale the system and check the inline filter, then recommend a softener if the line warrants it.
Group gaskets and screens. A portafilter that drips or shots that pour uneven point to a tired group gasket and a fouled shower screen. Quick swap on Astoria groups, and we clean the dispersion path while we are in there.
Level probe and heating element. Scaled level probes cause overfill and weak steam. We clean or replace the probe and test the element resistance, then confirm the boiler holds temperature.
Brew solenoid and pressure. A brew solenoid that stays open leaves the group weeping. We replace the valve and reset pump pressure to spec on the Astoria so shots pour clean.
