We drive in from San Ramon, about 35 to 45 minutes depending on the 24 and the 580. We work Astoria as an independent shop, not a factory-authorized dealer. Most of what kills these machines here is the water. Oakland tap leaves scale, and scale takes out solenoids, probes, and elements before anything else.

What we repair on the bench.

Brew and steam solenoids. Scaled or stuck solenoids on a Plus 4 You or Storm cause weak flow and no steam. We test the coil, clear or swap the valve, and check the water line feeding it.
Group gaskets and screens. Leaking around the portafilter or channeling shots usually means a hardened group gasket and a clogged screen. Quick parts to carry and fast to fit.
Heating element and level probe. Scale buildup fouls the element and shorts the level probe, so the boiler over or underfills. We descale the boiler, test the probe, and replace the element if it has failed.
Pump and motor. Pressure dropping off or a noisy pump on a Core600 points at a worn rotary pump or motor. We set pressure to spec after the swap.
