Los Altos runs a tight downtown on Main and State Streets in 94022 and 94024, walkable blocks with independent cafes and bakeries pulling Astoria shots for a daytime crowd. A Storm or Tanya here works through a steady lunch and weekend trade.

From San Ramon it is roughly 45 minutes down 680 to the 94024 side. We stock the everyday Astoria parts so most downtown calls involve parts we usually stock instead of waiting on shipping.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Brew and steam solenoids. A group that keeps dripping or a steam wand that quits usually means a stuck solenoid.
Group gaskets and screens. Downtown volume wears group gaskets and clogs screens, which shows up as leaks and channeling. We replace both and pull a clean shot to confirm.
Pump and motor. A noisy pump or soft brew pressure on a Storm or Tanya traces to the rotary pump or motor. We set pressure to spec and swap the pump when it is worn out.
Heating element and level probe. Peninsula water scales the boiler, so slow recovery and overfilling point at the element and probe. We descale, check water filtration, and replace parts as needed.
