Eversys in Emeryville
Eversys commercial service.
An Eversys in an Emeryville office or studio runs through the whole working day, and when one shows an error screen or goes dark, the control board takes the blame first. Most of the time the board is fine. A scaled flow sensor, a sticking valve or a loose connection sends it bad information, and the board does what it is told: it stops the cycle and posts a fault.
If your building on the Powell Street and Bay Street corridor has a loading dock, a freight elevator or a front desk, we arrange the pickup with the building manager ahead of time. On our bench we read the fault history, test each sensor and valve the board depends on, and only then look at the board itself. The written quote comes before any part is swapped.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Error screen caused by a sensor, not the board. A temperature or flow sensor that reads wrong makes the board stop a cycle and post an error. We test each sensor against a known reading, clean or replace the one that is off, and clear the fault history so any new error means something.
- Control board that has really failed. Sometimes the board is the problem, for example a burned trace or a dead output that no longer drives a valve. We confirm it on the bench after the rest of the machine checks out, so an expensive board is only replaced when it has actually failed.
- Valve that ignores the board. A valve can stop moving because its coil failed or because the board stopped sending the signal. We measure both sides, replace the coil or valve if that is the fault, and trace the output back to the board if it is not.

FAQ
Eversys in Emeryville questions, answered.
-
Our office Eversys shows an error and will not brew. Is the board gone?
Probably not. On these machines most error screens start with a sensor or valve feeding the board bad information. We test those parts first on our bench and replace the board only if it fails its own checks. -
How do you handle pickup in a building with a loading dock and a security desk?
Tell us the building rules when you book. We schedule the pickup through your building manager, follow the check-in steps they set, and use the freight route. The return runs the same way. -
What keeps the electronics healthy between repairs?
Keeping scale out of the sensors and valves, since those send the board most of its bad readings. Emeryville is on EBMUD water, soft to moderate, so scale builds slowly, but it still builds. A filter on the inlet line and descaling on a schedule do more for the electronics than anything else. -
What does the Eversys pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Eversys bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Eversys coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
