Danville is the next town over from San Ramon, ten to fifteen minutes down 680. That makes it about as local as it gets for us. Quick turnarounds are easy here, and the usual culprit is scale building in the boilers from the plumbed line.

What we repair on the bench.
- Descaling on a plumbed line. Hartz Avenue cafes run straight off the water line, so scale loads up in the boilers and valves. We descale the full circuit and set a filter so the next buildup is slower.
- Brew unit cleaning and seal kits. Light-cafe machines still cycle daily. We pull the brew unit, clean it, and replace the seal kit so shots stay tight and the puck ejects clean.
- Grinder and dose consistency. Worn burrs throw the dose off on c and e series units. We replace burrs, clear the grind path, and recalibrate so each cup is even.
- Pump and pressure issues. Weak extraction often points at the pump or a hydraulic valve. We check pressure across the circuit and rebuild or replace the failing part.
