The downtown shops and the ones feeding the office crowd run real espresso bars, and a Synesso S-series or MVP Hydra is a common sight where the volume justifies it.

Pleasanton is right next door to home base. Tri-Valley water is hard, so scale drives the bulk of the failures and we check filtration each time.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

Solenoid and gasket rebuild. Group drips or the three-way holds pressure. We rebuild the per-group solenoid with fresh gaskets so the rest of the bar keeps running through the fix.
Per-group element and PID. A single group loses heat or swings off temp. On a multi-boiler Synesso that isolates to one element or PID. We confirm it before swapping anything.
Pump, motor, and pressure. Brew pressure drops during a pull or the pump runs loud. We check the rotary pump and motor, reset pressure to spec, and verify across several shots.
Descale and water filter. Scaled fittings and slow heat recovery from hard Tri-Valley water. We descale the boilers and lines and change the inline filter to push out the next failure.
