Synesso in El Sobrante
Synesso commercial service.
El Sobrante's commercial center is the stretch of San Pablo Dam Road between El Portal and Appian Way, with more business around the triangle where Appian Way meets Valley View Road. The single-group ES1 suits a small counter and the two-group S200 a busier one. Both are built to be opened up and serviced, which is why keeping one running for many years is realistic.
Water here comes from EBMUD and is soft to moderate, so a steady maintenance routine matters more than heavy descaling. We collect the machine, take it to our bench, and go through the groups, solenoids, gaskets, pump pressure and boilers. The written quote lists what is failing now and what is close to it, and you choose what gets done.
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. 6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Group gaskets and screens on a rotation. Gaskets harden with heat and with every lock of the portafilter, and screens clog with coffee oils. Swapping them on a schedule costs far less than a leak in the middle of service. We replace both, clean the group, and note the date so the next swap is easy to plan.
- ES1 steam wand that sputters or runs wet. Wet, spitting steam usually means the steam boiler is overfilling or the wand valve is worn. We check the level probe and the fill valve, rebuild the steam valve, and test the wand until it delivers dry steam again.
- Yearly preventive service on a two-group S200. Once a year we replace group gaskets and screens, check both flow meters, read pump pressure against a gauge, inspect the elements and log each group's temperature. On soft to moderate water that is usually enough to catch problems while they are still small.

FAQ
Synesso in El Sobrante questions, answered.
-
Is a used ES1 worth buying and having serviced?
It can be. Have us collect it for a bench check first: we test the boilers, elements, board, pump and each seal, and you get a written list of what it needs before you put more money into it. -
How often should the gaskets be changed on a busy El Sobrante counter?
It depends on how many drinks you pull, but on a busy bar the gaskets go stiff well before they look worn. We record the condition when we replace them and set the next change by what we found, not by a fixed calendar. -
Do you also collect from the Valley View Road side of town?
Yes. The triangle around Appian Way and Valley View Road and the core along San Pablo Dam Road are both El Sobrante, and we collect from anywhere in town. Let us know about steps or a tight entrance so we arrive with enough help. -
What does the Synesso pickup deposit cover?
$150–450 deposit depending on the model. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis and return, and is not credited toward the repair. -
How long does Synesso bench repair take?
Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. -
What warranty applies to Synesso coffee-machine repair?
6 months on parts and labor; 90 days on consumables.
