La Marzocco in Walnut Creek
La Marzocco commercial service.
Walnut Creek has a real cafe density downtown around Locust Street and the Broadway Plaza area, plus the shops along North Main in 94596. A lot of those baristas are pulling shots on a La Marzocco Strada, GB5, or Linea, and when one quits during the afternoon crowd it hurts. We service these as an authorized, factory-trained La Marzocco shop, with people who know the dual-boiler layout.
Walnut Creek is one of our closer runs, roughly 20 to 25 minutes up 680 from San Ramon. We cover downtown, the 94595 and 94597 neighborhoods, and the cafes tucked into the office buildings near the BART station. These machines are plumbed in, and with the water out here scale is the usual culprit, so we talk descaling and filtration on most visits.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Saturated brew group gaskets and screens. Strada and GB5 saturated groups depend on a tight gasket seal. We replace worn group gaskets and shower screens so temperature stays even and the shot stops channeling.
- Brew and steam solenoid valves. A stuck solenoid gives you a leaking group or a steam valve that won't seat. We replace the brew and steam solenoids and clear any scale that's fouling the seats.
- Boiler descaling and SSR. Scale builds in the steam boiler and around the element, and a tired SSR throws off heating. We descale, test the SSR and level probe, and replace the element when it fails.
- Rotary pump and gicleur clogs. A worn rotary pump drops pressure, and scaled-up gicleurs skew group temperature. We service the pump and motor and clear the restrictors so the PID holds steady.
