The cafes along Burlingame Avenue and Broadway run Linea Classic and GB5 groups hard through the morning rush, and that high-end clientele expects the shot dialed in right.
From San Ramon it runs about 40 to 50 minutes over the San Mateo Bridge depending on the hour. We carry common gaskets and solenoid parts on the van, so a common repair with a part we usually stock is realistic on the usual scale and gasket failures.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Brew-group gaskets and shower screens. Group seal blowing past or channeling means a worn portafilter gasket and a clogged shower screen. On a Linea or GB5 we pull the screen, replace the gasket, and reset the group so the puck seats clean.
- Steam and brew solenoid valves. A solenoid that sticks open drips into the group or leaves the steam wand weak. We rebuild or swap the brew and steam solenoids and check the coils before they cook the harness.
- Boiler descaling and heating element. Hard Peninsula water scales the steam boiler and chokes the element. We descale, test the element draw, and talk filtration so it does not come straight back.
- PID and SSR control. Temperature drifting or a boiler that will not hold setpoint usually traces to the SSR or the PID board. We test the SSR and level probe before condemning electronics.
