Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- KB90 and GB5 brew-group service. High-volume bars wear the group gaskets and shower screens fast. On a KB90 or GB5 we replace the seals, clear the screen, and reset the group so back-to-back shots stay even.
- Steam-boiler descaling and element. Hard Peninsula water scales the steam boiler and drags on the element. We descale, test the element draw, and set filtration so steam recovery stays sharp through the rush.
- Brew solenoid and gicleur clogs. A slow or uneven group is usually a tired brew solenoid plus scale in the gicleurs. We rebuild the valve and clear the restrictors on the Linea or GB5.
- PID temperature and SSR. If the boiler will not hold its setpoint, we test the SSR and level probe first, then the PID board. We do not condemn electronics until the cheap parts check out.
