We are about 20 to 25 minutes up 680 from San Ramon, so this is close to home base for us. Central County water is hard, and the machines here scale at the gicleur and probe, which is why we look at descaling and filtration on every call.

What we repair on the bench.

Descale and gicleur clearing. Commuter-rush volume on hard water clogs the gicleur and chokes the group. We descale the boiler path, clear the jet, and check the filter cycle.
Brew and steam solenoids. Dripping groups or weak steam on a Classe 7 or 9 trace back to the solenoids. We rebuild or replace the brew and steam valves.
Pump and motor. When brew pressure drifts off nine bar we test the pump and motor and rebuild or replace as needed to bring extraction back.
Level sensor and element. Scale fouls the level probe and slows recovery. We clean or swap the probe and verify the heating element draw.
