Rancilio in Los Altos Hills

Los Altos Hills is almost entirely residential estates with no commercial strip of its own, so the cafes its residents use sit just down the hill in the Los Altos village and along El Camino, sharing the 94022 and 94024 ZIPs. Those small shops and the occasional in-estate setup run Rancilio Classe machines, and we cover both the commercial cafes and the larger private kitchens that keep one.

From San Ramon the drive south is roughly an hour down 680 and 280 to reach the Hills and the 94022 area.

What we repair on the bench.

Control board faults. Dropped dosing or a dark display on a Classe traces to the control board. We check the board, harness, and sensors, then replace the board when it has failed.
Brew and steam solenoid valves. A leaking brew valve or weak steam wand means a stuck or scaled solenoid. We test the coil and seat and replace the valve, then flush the line.
Descaling and gicleur clogs. Low-volume machines that sit between weekend use scale up and the gicleur plugs. We descale the boiler and lines and clear the jet so flow comes back even.
Group gaskets and screens. A hardened portafilter gasket sprays and a clogged screen chokes the shot. We swap the gasket and dispersion screen and reset extraction on the group.
