Alameda runs a lot of Franke equipment for an island its size. Park Street has the sit-down restaurants and a few independent cafes pulling milk drinks all day, and the office tenants out near Marina Village and the old Naval Air Station keep super-automatic units in their break rooms. A300 and A600 machines show up most often here. When one dies in 94501 or over the bridge in Bay Farm 94502, the line backs up fast.

From our San Ramon shop it is roughly 35 to 45 minutes to Alameda depending on the 580 and the tube. We service Franke as an independent shop, not a factory-authorized dealer, so you get straight diagnosis and a written quote before any wrench turns. Island water is hard, which is why descaling and a proper inline filter come up on nearly every call here.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

FoamMaster milk system rebuild. Cafes on Park Street live and die on milk drinks. We clean and rebuild FoamMaster valves and lines, clear the air injector, and fix the milk pump so steamed and cold foam come back consistent.
Boiler and heater descaling. Alameda water leaves scale in the boiler and flow path. We descale the heater circuit and check the flow meter so brew temperature and shot volume hold steady on an A300 or A600.
Brewer unit service. Weak shots and grounds in the cup usually trace to the brewer unit. We pull it, replace worn seals, and free up the piston so the puck packs and drains right.
Grinder burr replacement. Dull burrs throw off dose and grind on high-volume offices near Marina Village. We swap burrs and recalibrate so the machine stops over- or under-extracting.
