Most of our Richmond Miele calls land along the Marina Bay and Hilltop business corridors and the smaller cafes off Macdonald Avenue in 94804. These are CM 6 and CM 7 machines in office break rooms and a few light cafes, plumbed into hard tap water that scales a thermoblock fast if nobody runs a descale cycle.
Richmond sits about 35 minutes from our San Ramon shop across the bridge and up I-580, longer at commute hours. We cover 94801, 94804, and 94805. We are an independent repair shop, not a Miele dealer, so we quote you in writing before any work and you are not paying dealer markup on a brew unit gasket.

Common repairs we do
What we repair on the bench.
- Brew unit and gaskets. Miele brew groups gum up with old coffee oils and the seals harden. We pull the unit, clean it, and reseal so it stops leaking grounds into the drip tray.
- Descale and thermoblock. Richmond tap water scales the thermoblock and slows the heat-up. We descale, flush the valves, and talk through a water filter so it does not come back in six months.
- Conical grinder burrs. Worn burrs grind uneven and the shots run weak or choke. We swap the conical burrs and reset the grind so the dose is right again.
- Milk pipework and valves. Milk lines and the frothing valve clog with dried dairy. We strip the pipework, clear the valves, and get the foam back.
