What we repair on the bench.

Brew unit that stalls partway through a cycle. A unit that stops halfway usually has dried grease, packed grounds or a worn drive. We clean and lubricate the unit, check the drive under load and replace the parts that have worn.
Pucks coming out wet and sloppy. Worn gaskets let water slip past the coffee instead of through it. We replace the seals, clean the piston and check that the grind and dose are right, so the unit compresses a proper puck again.
Slow flow from scale in the valves. El Sobrante's EBMUD water is soft to moderate, so scale builds slowly. After years of daily use it still narrows the valves and thermoblock, and flow drops. We descale the full circuit and replace any valve seal that scale has scored.
