We service both through Bay Area Refrigeration Service, our commercial refrigeration division.
The home-bar installs are their own animal. A TUC-27 built into a cabinet run with zero side clearance recirculates its own hot discharge air, and the condenser plugs with dust from the surrounding millwork. I clean and check airflow on every built-in call in Alamo because half the time that is the real cause of the warm cabinet.

Common repairs we handle.
- Built-in undercounter overheating in cabinet enclosures. True undercounters in Alamo outdoor kitchens and bar runs often run hot because the enclosure blocks condenser airflow. High head pressure kills fan motors and eventually the compressor. We clean the coil, replace worn fan motors, and if the enclosure is starving the unit, I show you exactly what venting it needs.
- Door gasket failure from sun and heat exposure. Outdoor and patio installs bake gaskets until they harden and split. The seal leaks, the unit short-cycles, and energy use jumps. We fit OEM True gaskets and check door alignment and hinge tension at the same time so the new seal actually seats.
- Defrost timer stuck, evaporator iced solid. A stuck defrost timer on a plaza deli reach-in shows up as a unit that runs nonstop and still cannot hold 38 degrees. We replace the timer, defrost the coil, and confirm the thermostat is cycling correctly before we leave.
