True in Danville
True commercial service.
Danville's downtown is dense with restaurants for a town its size. The dining rooms and cafes along Hartz Avenue and Railroad Avenue turn tables all weekend, and behind almost every one of them is a True reach-in or prep table holding the line. We are ten minutes away in San Ramon, and we service Danville through our commercial division, Bay Area Refrigeration Service.
Danville also has a strong second category: estate and remodel kitchens off Diablo Road and in Westside neighborhoods where owners spec True undercounters and glass-door units instead of consumer appliances. Those installs need a tech who works on commercial refrigerant circuits, not a residential parts-swapper.
EPA Section 608 Universal certified, CSLB #1136642, written quotes, 7 days a week. The $75 diagnostic disappears from the bill when you approve the repair.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Reach-in fan motors worn down by weekend service loads. Hartz Avenue kitchens push their T-49s hard Friday through Sunday, and the condenser fan bearings show it first. A growling motor still moves air, a stalled one does not, and the difference is a warm box during Saturday dinner service. We replace motors with OEM True kits, usually in one visit.
- Short-cycling from flattened door gaskets. Once a gasket loses its magnetic seal, every door swing dumps warm air into the cabinet and the compressor cycles constantly trying to catch up. New gaskets plus a door alignment check cuts run time immediately and protects the compressor.
- Evaporator iced over from a stuck defrost timer. The frost load builds silently until airflow through the coil quits and the cabinet warms. Timers are cheap and stocked. We swap it, melt the coil, confirm drainage, and run a manual defrost to verify the fix.

FAQ
True in Danville questions, answered.
-
How close are you to Danville?
Our shop is in San Ramon, about 10 minutes down Crow Canyon or 680. Danville sits inside our tightest response ring along with Blackhawk and Alamo, so a down unit here usually gets a tech within hours, any day of the week. -
Can you fix our restaurant cooler between lunch and dinner service?
Often, yes. Because we are close, we can hit the 2 to 5 pm window that restaurant kitchens actually have free. Gaskets, fan motors, and timers are all realistic in that window with parts on the van. -
We have a True glass-door unit in our home wine room. Do you service those?
Yes, GDM merchandisers in Danville homes are a regular call for us. They use the same commercial refrigeration circuit as store units, so they need EPA 608 certified service, and the 1-year repair warranty applies the same way.
