DCS in San Jose
DCS in San Jose kitchens.
San Jose DCS calls run heavy in Almaden Valley, where the custom-build kitchens around ZIP 95120 spec a DCS RGS all-gas range. We see the 36 and 48-inch RGS units with the grill and griddle modules in these Almaden estate kitchens, and DCS built-in grills out on the patios.
DCS is by Fisher & Paykel, so parts run through the F&P pipeline. Drive time from San Ramon is about 45 minutes via 680 South. ZIPs 95120, 95124, 95125 routed together when we can.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Top-burner ignition fault. Click without spark or no reignition. Trace to spark electrode, reignition module, transformer, or burner switch.
- Burner will not simmer or burns yellow. Restricted jets, misaligned burner with locating pins not seated, or wrong orifices after a propane conversion.
- Grill or griddle burner won't light. Weak igniter or a stuck thermal valve on the GL grill or GD griddle module. Igniter and valve test, swap.
- Oven bake glow-bar igniter. Igniter glows but won't draw enough current to open the safety valve. Glow-bar swap, or dual thermal valve and convection motor on no-heat calls.
