DCS in Richmond
DCS in Richmond kitchens.
Richmond surprises people who do not know it. Point Richmond and Brickyard Cove have some of the best view properties on the bay, and those kitchens carry serious equipment, including 36 and 48 inch DCS RGS ranges installed during high-end remodels. East Richmond Heights and the Mira Vista area add mid-century homes where owners upgraded to a pro-style range when they opened up the kitchen.
The waterfront location is hard on outdoor equipment. A DCS built-in grill at Brickyard Cove faces salt spray and constant wind, and I treat those grills the way I treat Alameda units, with extra attention to electrode corrosion, rusted burner ports, and seized stainless fasteners. Indoors the marine air still matters, because garages and kitchens near the water run humid and spark modules fail sooner.
The company is ADRIUM Service Solutions, San Ramon, CSLB #1136642, EPA Section 608 Universal certified. $75 diagnostic waived with repair, written quotes before any work, 1 year warranty on repairs, and we take Richmond calls 7 days a week.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Seized fasteners blocking access to grill burners. On waterfront DCS grills the burner retention screws corrode into place, and a careless removal snaps them and turns a burner swap into a fabrication job. I bring penetrant, extractors, and replacement stainless hardware, so the burner and igniter work underneath actually gets done.
- Spark module failing in humid marine air. The multi-point spark module on RGS ranges near the water absorbs moisture and starts misfiring, one burner today, another tomorrow. Intermittent failures like this get misdiagnosed as bad electrodes. I test the module output on every terminal so the actual failed component is what gets replaced.
- Oven flame burning yellow and sooting the cavity. A yellow, lazy oven flame on an RGS means the air shutter has drifted or the burner is contaminated. It soots up the cavity and puts combustion products where you do not want them. I clean the burner, reset the air mixture to a hard blue flame, and verify with a combustion check.

FAQ
DCS in Richmond questions, answered.
-
Richmond is a long way from San Ramon. Do you really cover it?
Yes, and I plan for the distance. It is about 45 minutes up 24 and around through Berkeley, or 580 along the water. I book Richmond alongside Berkeley and Oakland stops so the drive is shared across the day, and I confirm the arrival window the morning of the visit. -
My grill sits 100 feet from the bay. How long should DCS parts last out here?
Shorter than the same grill inland, and that is just physics. Electrodes and modules may need attention every three to five years instead of eight to ten. A cover and an annual service visit stretch those numbers considerably, and I will show you the specific corrosion points on your unit. -
Do you charge extra for the distance to Richmond?
No trip surcharge. The diagnostic is the same $75 as everywhere we serve, and it is waived when you approve the repair. The written quote covers the full job with no mileage line item.
