Daly City runs cooler and foggier than most of the Peninsula, and I've worked on a fair number of DCS ranges in the Westlake and Serramonte-area remodels, mostly the 36 inch RGS with a GD griddle module for weekend cooking.

What we close on the truck.

Top-burner ignition fault. One burner clicks and never lights, or every burner sparks at once when you turn the knob. I check the spark electrode first, then the reignition module, transformer, or burner switch behind the control panel.
Simmer burner runs high or burns yellow. The Dual Flow simmer burner on the RGS either won't come down off a rolling boil or burns yellow at the tips. Usually the burner cap sits off its locating pin, or a jet is partly blocked, and I check both before touching anything else.
Oven glow-bar won't open the gas valve. The glow-bar igniter heats up orange but the oven never lights, because it can't pull enough current to trip the safety valve. I swap the glow bar and check the valve while I'm already in there.
