- Continuous clicking from the spark module after boilover. One pot boils over and every igniter on the range starts clicking nonstop. Water shorts the electrode harness to ground. Sometimes it dries out in a day, but if minerals bridged the insulation it will not. I isolate the shorted electrode, dry and test the harness, and replace only what actually failed.
- Range smells of gas near the front control panel. On older RGS units the valve stem seals dry out and weep a little gas at the knobs. You smell it, then it fades, then it comes back. I leak-test every valve with electronic detection and bubble solution, then rebuild or replace the leaking valves. This is not a repair to postpone.
- Convection fan grinding in the RGS oven. The convection motor bearing wears and the fan blade starts to rub the baffle, so you hear grinding on convection bake. The motor is replaceable from inside the oven cavity, and I balance the new blade so the noise does not come back.
