What we repair on the bench.

TurboSteam valve dripping or stuck open. A worn or scaled valve seat lets steam through when the wand should be closed, or holds the valve open until the machine is switched off. We rebuild or replace the valve, clear the steam line, and run the wand through repeated cycles before it leaves the bench.
Vacuum breaker hissing as the boiler heats. The vacuum breaker should close once the steam boiler builds pressure. When scale or a worn seal keeps it from seating, it hisses and leaks steam near the top of the machine. We replace the seal or the valve and watch it close on a full heat-up.
Group gaskets leaking at the portafilter. Hardened group gaskets let water escape around the portafilter and cause channeling in the puck. Shots run thin and uneven. We replace the gasket and shower screen, check the group for scale, and pull test shots until the flow is even.
