What we close on the truck.

Salt air corrosion on fittings and board connectors. Screws, hose clamps, and sensor leads corrode faster this close to the ocean, and a corroded connector can throw the same fault codes as a bad board. I check the connections first on every Pacifica call before replacing anything.
Gearmotor wearing out. The auger slows or stalls under a full bowl and the mix stays liquid instead of freezing. We pull the gearmotor, test it, and replace it when the bearings or windings have worn past use.
Magnetic coupling failure. The motor runs but the bowl barely turns, sometimes with a knocking sound at startup. That is the magnetic coupling slipping, and we swap it so the drive actually reaches the auger again.
