Gearmotor replacement. The auger slows or stalls and the mix just sits there instead of freezing. We pull the gearmotor, test it under load, and replace it when it can not keep the bowl turning.
Magnetic coupling wear. Motor runs but the bowl barely turns, or you hear a knock when the machine starts up. That is usually the magnetic coupling slipping between the motor and the auger, and we replace it.
Bowl gaskets and lid seals. Mix weeping out from under the bowl or past the lid means the gaskets have dried out or torn. We reseal the bowl so the mix stays put and the machine holds its freeze.
