What we close on the truck.
- Soft serve comes out soft and never sets. On a machine used only occasionally, dried-out scraper blades or a bowl stored without a real clean are the usual cause, not the refrigeration side. I break down the freezing cylinder, put in new blades and seals, and test a batch before I touch anything else.
- Rattling or banging from the compressor area. Built-in installs in a home bar cabinet cut off airflow to the condenser and let the compressor mounts work loose. I check the clearance, clean the coil, and tighten the mounts, and tell you directly if the cabinet needs a vent cut for the machine to survive long term.
- Slush machine dripping water onto the counter. A condensate drain that only sees light, occasional use clogs with old syrup faster than a daily-run shop unit would allow. I clear the path, sanitize it, and swap any gasket that has already taken on water before the cabinet below takes damage.

Around 50 to 60 minutes, on 680 south and then 92 or 280. Portola Valley is on the same Peninsula day as Hillsborough, and I give you a written arrival time, since a lot of properties out here sit well back from the road. -
We inherited the machine with the house and have no records on it. Is that a problem?

Can you legally do refrigerant work in a home out here, even with a septic system nearby?
