Gear motor humming but auger frozen. Sixteen-hour duty cycles wear gearboxes. The hum-but-no-turn symptom is either a sheared coupling, which is cheap, or stripped gears, which is not. I open it up and show you which one you have before quoting, because the difference in price is significant and you should see the parts.
Product tastes off and bowl smells sour. This is a sanitation failure, not a mechanical one, but it comes from a mechanical cause: a leaking bowl gasket letting old product hide where cleaning cannot reach.
