Repeated coupling failures mean either the freeze cycle is set too aggressive or the gearbox is binding. I diagnose which, because replacing couplings monthly is a symptom, not a maintenance plan.
- Mix-low sensor false alarms. Syrup film on the mix-low probe makes the machine cry empty when the hopper is half full, and staff learn to ignore alarms, which later masks a real empty hopper and burns the product film onto the cylinder. I clean and test the probe circuit and show the crew the thirty-second wipe-down that keeps it honest.
