Nuova Simonelli in Sunnyvale

Nuova Simonelli commercial service.

We service Nuova Simonelli machines across Sunnyvale, from the cafes along Murphy Avenue downtown to the roasters and office coffee bars over by Lawrence and Tasman in 94085. A lot of these shops run an Aurelia or an Appia II hard through morning rush, and high pull volume is what eventually finds the weak spot. Murphy Ave in 94086 has tight little storefronts where a dead group head means the line goes out the door.

Sunnyvale sits about 35 to 40 minutes from our San Ramon base over the 680 and 880, longer if the morning commute is stacked up. The water in this part of the South Bay is hard, so on plumbed machines scale builds in the boiler and the valves whether the cafe notices or not. We handle the descaling and the water filtration side along with the actual repair so the same fault does not come back in a few months.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Brew and steam solenoid valves. Scaled or stuck solenoids on an Aurelia or Appia II cause weak pulls and groups that drip or will not stop. We rebuild or replace the valve and flush the line feeding it.
  • Group gaskets and screens. Worn group gaskets blow steam around the portafilter and a clogged screen ruins extraction. Standard wear part on a high-volume Sunnyvale machine, quick swap.
  • Heating element and level sensor. Boiler not coming up to temp or short-cycling usually traces to the element or the level probe. We test the circuit and replace what is actually failing, not the whole boiler.
  • Pump and motor. Loss of brew pressure or a loud rotary pump on the Aurelia line points to the pump or motor. We check pressure against spec and rebuild or replace.
