What we repair on the bench.

Brew solenoid valves sticking from early, continuous cycling. A shop opening for the early SFO crowd runs the brew solenoid hard before most cafes have even opened. When one group runs weak or won't pull at all, the solenoid is usually fouled or stuck. We clean or replace it and check the group gasket while the head is off.
Gear pump wear from food court volume. The espresso counters inside Tanforan see weekend volume a standalone cafe doesn't. When shot pressure drops off or gets inconsistent group to group, the gear pump is often worn past spec. We test pump output at the gauge, rebuild or replace it, and recheck pressure at each group after.
Group gaskets and diffusers on a fast-turn counter. High-turn counter service means portafilters get locked in and pulled out fast all day. The group gasket flattens and starts leaking around the basket, and the diffuser screen underneath usually needs replacing at the same time. We do both together so the fix actually holds.
