Nuova Simonelli in South San Francisco

Nuova Simonelli commercial service.

South San Francisco runs two different coffee worlds. Grand Avenue downtown has old-school counter cafes pulling shots for the lunch crowd, and east of 101 the biotech campuses run break room and cafeteria machines almost around the clock for shift workers and lab staff. Both put real hours on a Nuova Simonelli machine.

The campus side is the harder use case. A Musica or Appia in a biotech break room doesn't get a slow season, it runs across shifts, and boiler scale, control board wear, and autofill trouble show up faster than they would on a typical nine-to-five schedule.

We provide a written repair estimate after the on-site diagnosis and before any work starts. Diagnostic is $99, credited toward the repair, and we hand you a written quote before any part gets ordered.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Boiler element and pressurestat scale from near-continuous use. A break room machine running three shifts barely gets a cool-down period, and the steam boiler scales on the element and the pressurestat probe faster than it would on a normal cafe schedule. Steam recovery gets slow, then unreliable. We descale the boiler, test the element resistance, and check the pressurestat switching point under real load.
  • Control board faults on Aurelia T3. Constant duty is hard on the Aurelia T3's control board. We see frozen displays, doses that fire on their own, or a group that stops answering the panel. Before condemning the board I check it against the wiring and the group solenoid, since a loose connection can mimic a bad board.
  • Autofill probe and filtration fouling. A machine that refills constantly through the day pushes more water through the autofill probe and inline filter than a normal cafe schedule sees. When the probe fouls, the boiler either overfills or shuts down on a false low-water fault. We clean or replace the probe and check the filtration cartridge while we're in there.

FAQ

Nuova Simonelli in South San Francisco questions, answered.

  • We're on a biotech campus east of 101. Can you get badged in and serviced quickly?
Our technician lives on the Peninsula in San Mateo, so South San Francisco is a short run either way. Campus badging takes some coordination on your end, and once that's arranged we treat a machine-down call as urgent, since a dead break room machine affects a lot of employees at once.
  • Do you service machines in Brisbane too?
Yes. Brisbane sits right against South San Francisco and we run there on the same swing, so there's no extra scheduling gap for either city.
  • Can you set brew temperature to match our recipe across campus locations?
Yes. I measure at the group with a Scace device, adjust the boiler and group temperature to spec, and set pump pressure at the gauge and at the group, so several break room machines on one campus can be matched to the same numbers.
