Is a JDF juice unit worth fixing, or only the slush machines?

JDF units are built to be serviced, the same as the Ultra line. Refrigeration faults, worn seals and control problems are all repairable, and parts support is good. If a JDF has several major failures stacked at once, we price the repair against a replacement in writing and let you decide.

Common repairs we handle.

Thin product from a barrel that will not freeze down. We clear the easy causes first: a matted condenser, a slow fan, a clogged filter. If airflow checks out, we read the charge and the compressor draw. A leak gets found and repaired rather than topped off, because a top-off on a leaking system only buys a few weeks.
Knocking or stalling from a worn gear motor. The auger and spinner gear motors on Ultra-2 and Ultra-NX units wear with running hours. A knock, a stall with a full barrel, or a motor that hums without turning means worn gears or a failing bearing. We pull the drive, inspect the gearset and replace the worn parts together.
False mix-low alarm with a full hopper. A fouled or drifting mix-low sensor can stop service with product still in the hopper. We clean the sensor, test its circuit and then test the control board. A sensor is a small part and a board is not, so the board gets replaced only when the readings point there.
