What we close on the truck.

  • Compressor start component failures in hot back rooms. Fremont's warehouse break rooms and store back counters run warm, and heat is what kills start relays and run capacitors. The machine hums, clicks, and gives up. Replacing these small parts promptly is the difference between a cheap fix and a compressor replacement, so do not let a clicking machine keep cycling for a week.
  • Cooling drum bearing wear. When the auger's front support wears, the auger contacts the drum surface and you hear scraping during rotation. A scored drum can end the machine economically, so this is the failure I most want to catch early. If you hear metal-on-metal, shut it down and call.
  • False torque-out shutdowns. Some machines trip torque protection even with correct product, and the culprit is often a failing torque sensor or a drive motor drawing high amps from worn brushes and bearings. I measure actual motor draw against spec instead of just resetting the error, because resets without diagnosis come back within days.
