What we close on the truck.

Thermistor drift causing soupy or rock-hard product. Home machines in Alamo often run intermittently, and thermistors that cycle between long idle and party-weekend duty drift out of calibration. The symptom is product that is slush one day and liquid the next with no settings change. I verify sensor resistance against temperature with a reference probe and replace the thermistor rather than guessing at the board.
Compressor start relay and capacitor failures. A clicking machine that hums and shuts off is usually start components, not a dead compressor. Pool house installs get hot in summer, and heat kills relays and capacitors early. These are inexpensive parts I carry on the van, and swapping them saves a compressor that would otherwise burn out its windings trying to start.
Auger drive bearing noise. A grinding or rhythmic knocking from the barrel means the auger support bearing is worn. Left alone, the auger starts riding on the cooling drum and scores it, and a scored drum is an expensive repair. Catching the bearing early keeps the fix small, so call at the first new noise.
