  • Ultra NX touchscreen and control faults. The NX moved everything to a touchscreen, and when that interface locks up or loses touch response the whole machine is unusable even though the refrigeration is fine. I distinguish firmware lockups from failed display assemblies before quoting, because one is a reset procedure and the other is a part. Guessing wrong on this one wastes your money.
  • Over-freezing product in high-volume dessert shops. Shops running low-sugar or dairy-free mixes hit a hard-freeze condition where the auger struggles and drink texture turns icy. The fix is part calibration, part recipe. I set the freeze control to the actual product's behavior, verify torque draw, and leave the staff a written brix range for the mixes they pour.
  • Auger seal leaks under continuous duty. A machine spinning ten hours a day wears its rear auger seal on a schedule you can almost set a calendar by. Early signs are syrup residue in the drip tray behind the hopper and a sweet fermented smell. Replacing the seal and wear ring at first leak protects the drive motor from sticky buildup that kills it later.
