Commercial Ice Machine Repair in Pinole

Commercial Ice Machine Repair for Pinole kitchens.

Pinole's commercial side sits in two places: the big-box and shopping district along Fitzgerald Drive, and Old Town, which still keeps much of its turn-of-the-century building stock. The machines differ with the space. A larger store or kitchen tends to run a modular head on a bin, sometimes with a remote condenser on the roof, while a small Old Town kitchen or bar is more likely to have an undercounter cuber.

Water here is EBMUD, soft to moderate, so scale matters less than slime, filters and airflow. We service Manitowoc Indigo NXT heads and QuietQube remote systems, Koolaire, Hoshizaki KM and IM machines, and Scotsman and Follett units. Pinole calls are handled from our technician's base in Benicia. The $99 diagnostic is credited toward the repair, and sealed-system work falls under ADRIUM's EPA 608 Universal certification.

Common repairs we handle.

  • QuietQube remote system losing capacity. A remote system moves the condensing unit outside, which keeps heat and noise out of the room, but the long refrigerant lines and the rooftop coil need their own attention. When production drops, we clean the remote coil, check the fan and the pressures, and test the lines for leaks.
  • Modular head making half its rated ice. We time a full freeze and harvest and weigh a batch against the spec sheet before replacing anything. Low output can come from a dirty condenser, a weak water pump, a harvest valve leaking through, or a slow refrigerant leak, and each test rules one out.
  • Hoshizaki IM undercounter unit with an empty bin. On an undercounter IM machine we check the water supply and the inlet valve first, then the pump and the spray system, then the controls. A clogged inlet screen or a kinked line behind the bar can stop production as surely as a failed part.
  • Bin drain backing up. Melt water leaves the bin by gravity, and a slow drain line fills with slime and backs water into the bin. We clear the drain, check for a proper air gap at the floor drain, and sanitize the bin so the backed-up water leaves no residue.

FAQ

Commercial Ice Machine Repair in Pinole questions, answered.

  • Is a remote condenser worth it for a machine in a hot back room?
Often it is. Moving the condenser outside takes heat out of the room and keeps the machine near its rated output on warm days. It adds refrigerant lines and a rooftop unit to maintain, and installing it needs roof access. We look at the room, the power and the roof before recommending it.
  • Our Old Town bar has an undercounter machine. Can you service it in place?
Most undercounter repairs are done in place, through the front panel. If the machine has to slide out for access to the back, we disconnect the water and drain lines carefully and set it back level so the bin drains properly.
  • Do you offer maintenance agreements for Pinole kitchens?
Yes. A twice-yearly visit covers coil cleaning, cleaning and sanitizing the water system, a filter change and a head-pressure check, with each date written inside the panel. Ask for a written quote on the agreement when you call.
