Restaurant and bar ice. Andrew completed the Manitowoc Ice and Koolaire Field Service Seminar at Pentair Water Solutions in February 2026. The certificate is on the Manitowoc brand page. We are factory-trained on Indigo NXT, NEO undercounter, QuietQube remote-condenser systems, and Koolaire. We file Manitowoc and Koolaire warranty paperwork directly.
We also service Hoshizaki KM cubers, DCM cubelet machines, and the IM series. Same approach: diagnose the failure, quote, repair, verify production rate matches the spec sheet.
Restaurant and bar work runs on its own schedule. We keep an after-hours line at (925) 999-4095 for commercial calls. A bar without ice on a Friday night loses revenue fast.
Common issues. Typical repair.
Manitowoc Indigo NXT, high-pressure shutdown. Condenser coil filthy. The unit logged the reminder code for weeks, the manager ignored it, the head pressure climbed past the cutoff. We coil-clean, swap the air filter, log the cleaning interval inside the panel, and put you on a quarterly schedule. The shutdown clears as soon as the head pressure drops.
Indigo NXT or NEO, harvest cycle hangs. Three common causes in order of probability: harvest valve coil (a $70 part), curtain switch (a $40 part), control board (a $480 to $620 part depending on model). We test in that order. We do not start with the board.
Hoshizaki KM cuber, 20% production drop. Scale on the evaporator plate. Bay Area water is hard and Hoshizaki’s printed deliming interval is too generous for this region. We delime, verify production at the rated cycle time, and put you on a six-month schedule with documented cleaning.
Hoshizaki DCM cubelet, no cubelet flow. Auger motor seal failure. We replace the seal and the auger gear together. Replacing only the seal puts you back on the bench in six months.
Water-filter neglect. Both brands. The owner replaces the filter on the schedule printed in the manual (twelve months). The Bay Area water profile demands six. We swap the filter at every preventive-maintenance visit and leave a dated sticker inside the panel.
Preventive-maintenance contracts
We offer flat-rate twice-yearly PM contracts for commercial ice. Documented coil cleaning, water-system service, head-pressure check, sanitation-cycle verification. Restaurants and bars in Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, Berkeley, Oakland, San Ramon, and Pleasanton get the most use out of this. Ask for a contract quote when you call.

How often should a Manitowoc Indigo NXT be deep-cleaned?
Every six months on Bay Area water. The printed manual says twelve. The manual is written for average North American water chemistry; Bay Area runs hard, and the scale loading on the evap plate cuts production fast if you wait a year. Restaurants that follow the six-month schedule get four more years out of the machine. -
Can you do an emergency call for a restaurant on Friday night?
Yes. The after-hours line is (925) 999-4095. Bar and restaurant ice does not wait for Monday. We prioritize commercial-ice calls inside our service window. -
Do you offer preventive-maintenance contracts?

Can you service Hoshizaki and Koolaire under warranty?
Yes. The Manitowoc factory training covers Koolaire (Manitowoc value brand). For Hoshizaki we follow Hoshizaki service procedures and file warranty claims directly when applicable.
