Hoshizaki DCM-270BAH electrical fault repair in Lafayette
Problem: A customer in Lafayette called us about their Hoshizaki ice and water dispenser. It had stopped working completely.
Diagnostics: This one is a DCM-270BAH, built into a framed opening in the wall, with ICE and WATER buttons on the front. When a dispenser stops dead like that, the cause can be small or it can be expensive. We traced it to the machine’s own electrical and control circuit. The fault there turned out to be a minor one.
Solution: We corrected the electrical fault and restored the connections that needed it. We also cleaned the condenser coil. Then we ran it and checked that it worked.
Result: The dispenser is running again. If yours stops completely, don’t price a new machine yet. A small wiring fault and a failed board can look the same from the front. Testing tells them apart. Have the condenser coil cleaned when the machine is serviced, too. Dust on the coil makes the compressor work harder.
