Victoria Arduino in Pacifica

Victoria Arduino commercial service.

Pacifica sits right on the coast, and the salt in the air off Rockaway Beach and Linda Mar does real damage to equipment that a cafe inland never deals with. On a Victoria Arduino machine, that means corrosion on exposed fittings, group hardware, and electrical connectors well before the rest of the machine shows its age.

I treat coastal machines differently from the start. A Black Eagle or Adonis in Pacifica needs the exterior fittings and the group hardware checked for corrosion on a schedule, not just when something fails, because salt air works on metal even when the machine sits idle overnight with the shop closed.

$150 pickup deposit. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included. Repair work is quoted separately. Bench diagnosis can take up to one week; most repairs take 3–4 weeks. Same-day pickup may be available, but same-day repair is not offered. Repair parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days.

Common repairs we do

What we repair on the bench.

  • Salt air corrosion on solenoids and fittings. Corrosion creeps into the group solenoids and exposed fittings faster here than inland, and a solenoid that's started to corrode will stick or leak before it fails outright. I inspect these on every visit and replace what's compromised before it takes out a group.
  • Control board and connector corrosion. Moist coastal air gets into connector pins and board contacts over time, showing up as an intermittent fault that's hard to chase down. I clean and check the connections first, since that's often the real problem behind what looks like a bad board.
  • T3 sensor drift from humidity exposure. Humidity affects the sensor circuit the same way it affects any exposed electronics near the coast. When shot temps start drifting, I check the sensor and the wiring around it before assuming it's a straight sensor failure.
