What we close on the truck.

  • Drawer stops mid-travel and beeps. The SMD series uses position switches along the drawer travel, and one intermittent switch makes the controller halt the drawer partway and alarm. Owners assume the motor died. Half the time it is the switch or debris on the rail, which is a far smaller repair, and I test in that order.
  • Unit heats poorly after years inside cabinetry. Built-in installs cook their own electronics when ventilation gaps were shaved during the remodel. The magnetron ages fast and output sags. I verify output, replace the tube if needed, and correct the venting so the replacement lives a full life instead of three years.
  • Child lock and control lockouts that will not clear. Moisture migration into the control head causes phantom key presses, and the controller responds by locking out. Clearing it is temporary. Replacing the touch panel assembly and sealing its edge against steam from the cooktop is the repair that lasts.
