Sharp in San Jose
Sharp commercial service.
San Jose has more working commercial microwaves per square mile than any city we cover. The restaurant rows around San Pedro Square, the delis and taquerias along Santa Clara Street, the food stalls near SAP Center, and hundreds of c-stores across Berryessa and Willow Glen all lean on Sharp heavy-duty units. The R-CD1800M and R-CD2200M are the workhorses I see most here, often running 300 to 500 cycles a day in a steam table line.
ADRIUM Service Solutions repairs Sharp commercial microwaves on site in San Jose. I am Andrew Kuznetsov, the owner, EPA Section 608 Universal certified, CSLB #1136642. We come with magnetrons, high voltage diodes, interlock switches, and fuses for the R-CD, R-22, R-24, and R-25 series on the van, because a second trip for a $40 part costs you a day of lunch service.
The diagnostic is $75 and we waive it when you approve the repair. You get a written quote before any work starts, and repairs carry a one year warranty. We run 7 days, which matters when your busiest days are Saturday and Sunday.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Weak heating on twin magnetron R-CD2200M units. The R-CD2200M runs two magnetrons. When one dies the unit still runs but food comes out half heated, so kitchens double the cook time and burn out the second tube faster. I test output with a water load, confirm which magnetron dropped, and replace it along with its diode. If the tube shows arcing at the antenna cap I also check the waveguide for grease carbon.
- Blown fuse from door interlock failure on the R-22GTF. Slamming doors hundreds of times a day wears the interlock switches out of sequence. When the monitor switch closes before the primary opens, the unit shorts itself on purpose and blows the fuse. Replacing only the fuse brings it back for a week. The correct fix is replacing the switch set and adjusting the door hook, which is what we do.
- Worn touchpad membranes on R-CD1800M control panels. In a busy San Jose deli the same two or three preset pads get hit all day, and the membrane under them cracks. Symptoms are a pad that needs three presses, or a unit that starts on its own program. We replace the membrane assembly, and where the control board relay has pitted contacts we address that in the same visit.

FAQ
Sharp in San Jose questions, answered.
-
How fast can you reach a San Jose restaurant from your San Ramon base?
We are based in San Ramon and run I-680 south straight into San Jose, about 45 minutes outside commute hours. I route South Bay days so a San Jose call pairs with stops in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, or Los Gatos, which usually means same day or next morning service. If your only microwave is down during service hours, tell us and we prioritize the stop. -
Do you carry Sharp parts or do we wait for an order?
Common R-CD, R-22, R-24, and R-25 parts ride on the van: magnetrons, high voltage diodes, fuses, interlock switch kits, and door hooks. Most San Jose repairs finish in one visit. Control boards and membranes for less common models take two to four days to arrive, and we tell you that in the written quote before you commit. -
Is it worth repairing a unit that runs 400 cycles a day?
Usually yes. A magnetron and diode replacement costs a fraction of a new R-CD2200M, and the chassis and transformer on these units outlast several tubes. I will tell you plainly when a unit is not worth fixing, for example a rusted cavity floor that arcs, because a repair that fails in a month costs both of us. Repairs carry a one year warranty.
