- Auger gear motor. The auger stalls, grinds, or stops turning while the machine still runs cold. I pull the gear motor and check the drive coupling, then replace whichever one actually failed.
- Tank gaskets and seals. A sticky floor under the counter or syrup crusted on the front panel traces back to a worn tank gasket more often than people think. I pull the tank, reseal it, and check the auger shaft O-rings before closing it up.
- Control board. Machine restarts on its own mid-cycle, or the display just goes blank. Before I swap a board I check the wiring harness and connections first, since a loose connector causes the same symptoms and costs you nothing to fix.
