Auger gear motor and drive. The auger grinds, stalls, or stops turning while the compressor keeps running fine. Usually the gear motor is worn out or the drive coupling has stripped, so I pull it and replace what failed.
Tank gaskets and seals. Syrup leaking around the bowl or dripping onto the counter usually means the tank gaskets have failed. I reseal the tank and check the O-rings on the auger shaft at the same time, since they wear at the same rate.
