Common repairs we handle.
- Exterior vent clogged with grass and leaves. Dry grass, seed heads and leaves collect around a sidewall intake and exhaust. The Navien reads blocked air and faults out. We clear the termination, check the vent run, and suggest a screen or cover that the manual allows.
- Gas line too small for a tankless. A small older house often has a gas line sized for a tank. At full fire the Navien starves and locks out. We measure pressure at the unit with other appliances running and quote the fix in writing.
- Flame rod coated and dropping the flame. After several seasons the flame rod builds a coating and the signal weakens. The Navien lights, then drops out during a longer draw. We clean or replace the rod and confirm a steady signal before closing up.
