I descale with a proper pump and solution, and if there are no isolation valves I add them so future flushing takes an hour instead of half a day.

In a lot of townhome installs the drain line is too flat or dumps into a spot that clogs, then water backs into the unit and trips the sensor. I re-run the drain with proper slope and add a neutralizer cartridge where the code or the slab drain needs it.
