Plan the downtime

Preventive work is useful because it happens before the machine forces the schedule. Scale narrows water paths and coats heated surfaces. Seals harden one cycle at a time. Milk residue and coffee oils collect where a rinse cannot reach. A planned bench visit lets us open, clean, descale, inspect, and test the equipment before one of those small changes becomes a shutdown.

The scope depends on the machine. We document what is due, do the approved maintenance, and flag anything that needs a separate repair quote. Water treatment should follow the equipment manufacturer’s requirements; we do not sell coffee-machine or filtration-system installation.

Deposit and bench rates

Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are covered by a deposit that is separate from the repair or maintenance bill:

• $150 for Breville (any model), DeLonghi, Gaggia, Rancilio, Lelit, Rocket, ECM, and Profitec.
• $175 for Jura and Miele super-automatics and home La Marzocco machines.
• $250–$550 for commercial La Marzocco equipment.

Bench time is $150 per hour, or $175 per hour for Jura, La Marzocco, and Miele. We provide the scope before continuing beyond the deposit.

Diagnostics can take up to a week; most repairs run 3–4 weeks. That is exactly why we recommend preventive maintenance. You can choose a quiet week and have a backup plan instead of reacting during service.

Installed parts are covered for 6 months; consumables are covered for 90 days. Coffee-equipment pickup covers our 56 Bay Area cities plus San Francisco.
