Schaerer machines come out of Switzerland, built for offices, hotels, and self-serve setups that run hundreds of cups a day. We service the Coffee Soul, Coffee Skye, Coffee Prime, and Coffee Club lines as an independent shop. We are not factory authorized for Schaerer. We fix them anyway, and these are worth fixing.

The brew unit is where most calls start. High-volume sites grind through pucks all day, and the brew group wears, jams, or starts leaving weak shots and grounds in the cup. Grinders are next. Burrs dull, the dose drifts, and the machine throws under-extraction faults. We pull the brew unit, clean and rebuild it, reset grinder calibration, and check the dose against what the menu actually pours.

The milk side is the other big one. Schaerer’s Best Foam system runs milk through valves and tubing, and that path fouls fast if cleaning cycles get skipped. We see clogged milk valves, cracked tubing, and weak or inconsistent foam. We replace the valves and lines, clear the steam circuit, and verify the foam texture before we leave. Water and steam valves fail the same way, scaled shut or leaking past the seat, and we swap those out as a set when one goes.

Then there’s the electronics. Touchscreens go dark or unresponsive, control boards drop out, and a machine that won’t boot kills the whole counter. We diagnose the board and screen, trace the fault back to a connector or a failed component, and source the part. On the water side we handle the boiler, the pump that lost pressure, and full descaling when scale has choked the lines.

Repair and maintenance

These run on a plumbed water line, so water quality drives most of what breaks. Scale builds in the boiler and valves whether you see it or not, and a commercial machine with no filtration will scale up in months. We set you up on a descaling schedule, swap the water filter on a cadence that matches your volume, and replace gaskets and seals before they leak. Brew-group and group-head service on a regular interval keeps extraction consistent and stops the small problems from compounding.

Staying ahead of scale is cheaper than the breakdown. A descale and a filter cost a fraction of a seized pump or a scaled boiler, and you don’t lose a morning of sales waiting on parts. We confirm the available pickup window before dispatch, then give the machine the bench time the fault requires.

Licensed California contractor, CSLB #1136642. The deposit covers pickup, bench diagnosis, and return and does not go toward the repair; we confirm the amount when scheduling. Bench time is $150 per hour, and you get a written quote before repair.

Diagnostics can take up to a week; most repairs run 3–4 weeks. That is exactly why we recommend preventive maintenance. Repair parts are covered for 6 months and consumables for 90 days.
