Commercial Refrigeration Repair in Cupertino

Commercial Refrigeration Repair for Cupertino kitchens.

Cupertino's commercial refrigeration is spread across more than restaurant kitchens. Office pantries run glass-door bottle coolers and undercounter beverage units, cafes run grab-and-go cases, and school kitchens run reach-ins and milk coolers. A lot of this equipment sits in a break room or at a front counter rather than in a kitchen, where nobody checks the temperature until the drinks are warm.

Glass-door coolers work hard in a busy pantry. The doors open all day, so closers, hinges and gaskets wear out first, and a door that rests slightly open ices the evaporator. Slim undercounter units breathe through a small front grille that clogs with lint and dust. We check doors, fans and coils on the first visit for a $99 diagnostic, credited toward the repair, and you see a written quote before any work.

Common repairs we handle.

  • Bottle cooler door not swinging shut. Self-closing glass doors rely on a spring or a cam in the hinge. When it weakens, the door rests slightly open, the gasket never seals and the evaporator ices. We replace the closing hardware, and the gasket if it has torn.
  • Undercounter beverage unit warm in an office pantry. Front-breathing undercounters pull air through a small grille, and lint, dust or a recycling bin parked in front of it choke the condenser. We clean the coil and fan, clear the grille and check the thermostat against a probe reading.
  • Open grab-and-go case warm at the front rows. Open cases hold temperature with an air curtain across the front. A blocked return grille, product stacked past the load line or a slow fan breaks the curtain, and the front rows warm up. We clean the coil and grilles, check the fans and mark the load line.
  • Beverage merchandiser freezing cans at the bottom. A drifted controller or a sensor that has slipped out of place lets the unit run too long, and drinks near the evaporator freeze. We check the sensor position and reading, reset the setpoint and replace the control if it has failed.

FAQ

Commercial Refrigeration Repair in Cupertino questions, answered.

  • Can you service the drink coolers in our office break room, or only restaurant equipment?
Both. A bottle cooler or a beverage merchandiser uses the same compressor, fans and controls as a restaurant reach-in, and we work on True, Beverage-Air, Turbo Air and similar brands.
  • Can you repair our grab-and-go case without closing the Cupertino cafe?
Usually. Most work on an open case happens at the base grille, the coil and the fans, and product can move to another unit while we work. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you whether the case can keep running safely until it arrives.
  • Do you handle the refrigerant side of a bottle cooler, or only the parts around it?
Both. ADRIUM holds EPA 608 Universal certification, and we handle leak repair, recovery, evacuation and recharging, including units that run R290.
