A lot of Berkeley commercial refrigeration sits along the Shattuck, Telegraph, and 4th Street restaurant corridors. The diagnostic starts at the condenser and the water side, not the control board. On a Hoshizaki cuber I check the bin thermostat, scale buildup on the evaporator, and whether the harvest cycle is completing. On an Atosa R290 reach-in or prep table I check the gasket seal and the condensate drain before anything else, because a stretched gasket or a grease-clogged drain explains most icing and floor-water calls. R290 is hydrocarbon refrigerant and most current Atosa units use it, which is why a tech without that certification tells you parts aren't available.
