Condenser coil fouling. A packed exhaust hood or a hot kitchen loads the condenser fins with grease and dust fast, and the machine can't reject heat, so it runs warm or trips on high pressure. We clean the coil and check the fan before we touch the sealed system.
Scraper blade and barrel O-ring wear. Worn blades leave ice on the barrel wall and product texture goes soft or grainy. Torn O-rings let mix weep past the front and drip under the machine. We replace both as a set so the barrel seals and scrapes correctly.
Control board and keypad faults. A keypad that won't register a mode change or a display that locks up usually points to the control board. We check the ribbon connector and input voltage first since a loose connector mimics a dead board.
