Spaceman in Palo Alto
Spaceman commercial service.
Palo Alto runs on its foodservice corridors. University Avenue downtown in 94301 and the California Avenue district in 94306 are packed with cafes, dessert shops, and small markets, and a lot of them lean on a Spaceman machine for slush and soft serve. When that machine stops turning out product, the counter line backs up and the day's sales walk out the door.
We run from San Ramon, about 35 minutes to Palo Alto over I-680 and the Dumbarton Bridge on CA-84. We service Spaceman frozen beverage and slush equipment across 94301, 94303, and 94306. Refrigerant and gas work is licensed under CSLB #1136642, so the repairs are done right and to code.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Compressor and refrigeration faults. Machine won't pull the barrel down to temperature or product comes out soft. We diagnose the sealed system and recover refrigerant under our CSLB license.
- Beater and auger motor and drive. Auger stalls, grinds, or the drive slips and product stops freezing evenly. We check the motor, gearbox, and drive coupling and replace what's worn.
- Mix-low sensors and control boards. False mix-low alarms or a dead display will lock the machine out. We test the sensor circuit and the control board and replace the failed part.
- Barrel seals and scraper blades. Worn seals leak mix and dull scraper blades leave ice buildup on the barrel wall. We rebuild the front end with the correct seal kit and fresh blades.

FAQ
Spaceman in Palo Alto questions, answered.
-
How fast can you get to Palo Alto, and do you cover after hours?
We're about 35 minutes out from San Ramon and target same-day or next-morning on Palo Alto calls. This is foodservice equipment, so we run after-hours and weekend calls when a machine is down during service. -
Do you carry Spaceman parts or have to source them?
We stock the common wear items, barrel seals, scraper blades, and drive components, on the truck. Compressors, control boards, and machine-specific sensors we source from Spaceman USA or a supplier, and we tell you the lead time up front. -
What does a repair cost?
Diagnostic is $75, waived when you go ahead with the repair. You get a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
